Picnic Pals is back! We are excited to welcome back families to our cafeteria for a special "indoor picnic" during your child's lunch! This happens once a month on the 2nd Friday.

You must sign up on the SignUp Genius to attend and sign in through our SchoolSafe kiosk before you go to the lunchroom. All adults attending will also need to sign a Volunteer Agreement, which will be in the front office.

Reminder that outside (fast/restaurant food) is not allowed but you can bring food from home or purchase a tray from our cafeteria!

August 21st, from 5:00pm-6:30pm is our Back to School Night at Will Rogers! Please plan to attend to learn important information for your child's school year.

Timeline:

5:00pm-5:10pm (Optional): Title Program Information meeting in the open area near the office/3rd grade. This is optional, but it is a great way to learn about the Title 1 programs offered at Will Rogers.

5:15pm-5:45pm: This will be a time for the grade level teachers to go over everything you need to know about- like homework, Thursday folders, grading rubrics, attendance, curriculum, and more.

6:00pm-6:30pm: This part of the night will be for our Spanish speaking families, and we will meet in the open area near the office/3rd grade.

Notes:

This is NOT a come-and-go event. Plan to attend for either the entire 5:15pm English session or 6:00pm Spanish session.

Please leave children at home.

If you have multiple students and can't attend all of their sessions, just let the teachers know and they'll be happy to share the information with you directly.

There is overflow parking at the Edmond Church of Christ to the east.

☀️🗣️ Summer Enrichment Registration is now open! There are a variety of sessions/topics for your student to choose from. Sessions are four days a week in the month of June from 8:30am - 12:15pm. Students may attend one, two, three or all four sessions. Each session costs $125 for EPS students and $150 for out-of-district students (bring your friends)! State Testing begins tomorrow, April 22nd!

Friendly reminder that we will have school tomorrow, 4/18, in person due to the many days of inclement weather.

Our 3rd-5th graders at Will Rogers start state testing on Tuesday, April 22nd! That said, I would like to stress the importance of resting, routine, and attendance during this time for our students: Ensure a consistent sleep routine and limit screen time Healthy breakfast (or have them eat at school) Arrive on time to reduce stress Avoid unnecessary absences or appointments to keep routines consistent Encourage a positive mindset and stay encouraging! Communicate any concerns. Please email willrogers.elementaryschool@edmondschools.net if you know already your 3rd-5th grade student will be absent; this helps us prepare for make-up testing sessions.
