🚨 TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY, WILDCATS! 🚨
We are SO excited to welcome everyone back! 🐾💙💛 Please take a few minutes to review these important arrival, dismissal, and transportation reminders. A little preparation tonight will help make tomorrow safe, smooth, and successful for everyone!
🚗 MORNING DROP-OFF — BEGINS AT 8:50 AM
Please do NOT drop your child off in the Edmond Church of Christ or OCA parking lots. There is no longer a crosswalk option in this area, and the parking lot is currently being used by OCA students.
ALL car drop-offs must go through the Will Rogers car line.
Doors open and adult supervision begins at 8:50 AM. Please keep your child in your vehicle until 8:50 unless a verified member of Safety Patrol.
No walking your child to class. We will have staff and safety patrol ready to help students get where they need to go!
Students arriving in the morning will go directly to the cafeteria for breakfast or to their classroom.
School begins at 9:05 AM. This is a new start time!
If your child arrives after the tardy sign is out, you will need to walk them inside and check them in at the kiosk.
Car riders: Please have backpacks and belongings ready before reaching the cone. Students should exit from the passenger side.
Please say those goodbyes before reaching the drop-off point so we can keep the line moving quickly. 💙
🚶 WALKERS
Per EPS policy, only students who live within ONE MILE of Will Rogers are eligible to be walkers.
If your home is more than one mile away, your child must be transported by bus, daycare, or car.
Please do not drive your child to school and drop them off in the walker area.
🚌 BUS RIDERS
EPS now uses Versa to track bus riders, helping ensure students are on the correct bus and allowing families to track the bus route.
Be sure to download the MyRide K-12 app and get familiar with it before the first day and remind your child of their bus number!
🚗 TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
Students may ONLY arrive at or be picked up from school by:
Car
Daycare bus
School bus (PreK students cannot ride the bus)
Walker (if they live within one mile of Will Rogers)
🚙 CAR LINE REMINDERS
Please stay inside your vehicle during arrival and dismissal.
Staff cannot buckle or unbuckle students. Please have them ready!
Have your car tag visible and ready for our duty staff.
There is NO left turn when exiting the parking lot. Please turn RIGHT.
This is a safety issue, and waiting to turn left creates backups and slows down our entire car line.
Please pay close attention to which dismissal line you enter!
🧸 PREK DISMISSAL — BEGINS AT 3:25 PM
PreK dismissal begins at 3:25 PM.
The PreK car line follows a different route, so please make sure you are in the correct line.
If you are in the wrong line, you will be asked to move to the general dismissal area. We would hate for you to lose your spot!
If your PreK student has an older sibling, we can arrange for them to wait with their sibling until the 4:00 PM dismissal. Please contact the PreK teacher and front office to make arrangements.
🎒 K–5 DISMISSAL — BEGINS AT 4:00 PM
K–5 dismissal begins at 4:00 PM.
Have your car tag ready and visible so our staff can quickly enter your number into the system.
🚨 ONE LAST VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER
Please do NOT drop off or pick up students in the church parking lot east or west (OCA) of our building. There is no adult supervision there, and it creates both a safety concern and major traffic issues during arrival and dismissal.
We know this is a LOT of information, especially with some new procedures and a new start time. Thank you for being patient, flexible, and willing to work with us as we get everything running smoothly!
We can't do this alone!
💙💛 ONE TEAM. ONE DREAM. LET'S LOCK IN, WILDCATS! 🐾

As we kick off another exciting school year, it's time for new car tags—and we're looking for a local business (or even two!) to help make them possible!
Car tags are an important part of keeping our campus safe, but they are also a significant expense. By sponsoring our school car tags, you'll be directly supporting our students while also showcasing your business to our amazing school community.
